Welcome to the world of matte that isn't actually matte..? I was super confused by the Chi Chi Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick. There are pros and cons to these. I picked up three around Christmas of 2015. Chi Chi is accessible in a couple of stores around my city and I often passed them by. Christmas time came and I looked at the Chi Chi Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick range and thought instantly that each looked to have a lot of product in the tube (7ml). The colours were vibrant and the price wasn't that high either at $16.95. I have three shades out of twelve. I bought my three shades separately, but you can also buy the same three shades together in a pack for $25.00 (buy here).

PROS

My pros are the colour pay off, the amount, the shade variety and the accessibility. I bought the shades Socialite, Lady in Red and Drama Queen. I think my favourite shades are Lady in Red and Drama Queen just out of personal preference. In Australia, you can buy the Chi Chi Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick line from Target and Myer. So they are very easy to find. The brush end is a longer than average doefoot applicator that gets a good amount of product on but also makes applying the lip product pretty messy. The Chi Chi Creamy Matte Liquid Lipsticks come in a total of twelve shades varying from pinks, reds, plums and nudes so there's something to dress your smile with on any occasion. Also, these liquid lipsticks are PIG-MEN-TED. They are not subtly unless you really blot away the excess product and even then, they are 'in your face'. The swatches above are one pass with the applicator, not blotted. Note, these are vegan and cruelty free products.

TIP: I like the pigmentation, but I personally find that the best way to apply these lip colours are with a small lip brush with malleable bristles in short motions.

CONS

The cons I have with these are that the applicator is a bit big, narrow and straight for any kind of practical use. These don't really ever have a matte finish when dried and during the drying process, one disturbance and it's game over. These remove pretty easily (which can be a great thing when it comes time to clean your face) but the darker shades such as Drama Queen can leave a blotchy stain on the lips. My stains have lasted nearly two days before eating slowly removed it.

Overall, my thoughts regarding these Chi Chi Creamy Matte Liquid Lipsticks are that you're paying for the beautiful pigmentation and creamy consistency. The product itself is large, true to colour and customisable. These and they are very versatile and suitable for the soft and the extreme looks. I'd love to see these shades in a true liquid to matte form in the future!
