Australis Cosmetics... Where do I begin in this sea of awesomeness? Vegan? Tick. Cruelty Free? Tick. Cheap? Tick. Good Quality? TICK! This brand is just such an underrated brand. Almost every product in every category of Australis falls into the slots of being cruelty free, vegan friendly, budget friendly and affordable. I picked mine up in Priceline but they are also stocked in K-Mart and I think I've seen Australis stands popping up in Coles supermarkets.

Some products from Australis do have animal derivatives such as beeswax. I'm assuming that is in their regular lipsticks. This isn't a hidden fact either, they display it on a large banner on their website in the FAQ section so Australis isn't being sneaky at all. The velourlips range has a total of 20 shades. They are all 10ml and smell like that artificial grape scent. Very pungent and sweet but like most lip shades, they don't smell once they are applied. Personally, I like that smell over the overly cosmeticy scent.

These lip creams are matte and pretty opaque when it comes to the darker/richer colours. They are not a liquid lipstick! They have a thick and creamy consistency. I have always had issues with MIL-A-NO. It comes out patchy and you can always see though it. I've done all I can and the only way to have it be a solid shade is to layer, layer and layer some more. Unfortunately, you can't really layer these at all. They will ball up and flake off. One even coat should survive the day if you're careful when you touch up.

NO GREASY FOODS, NO BALMS OR GLOSSES, NO CHAPPED LIPS, NO LIP PRIMERS and NO MAKING OUT. Some things these lip creams can stand but all of the above, they tend to come off incredibly badly. Don't worry though! This Product is still awesome. 20 shades mean that there is something for everyone and every skin tone! They don't need a primer or a lip liner so you're saving money in that area. You can mix the shades and they apply as normal, you can buy 5 of the mini-velourlips in packs for $14.95 (3ml) and save some cash if you want to try the shades but not pay the full $10.50 (These also go on sale A LOT).

Overall, I think this product is worth picking up if you're on a budget or looking for vegan lip products. They stay well enough, are easy to apply, smell good, are cheap, are full of product, vegan, cruelty free, don't transfer on to your teeth and are diverse.
