Wow... I am devastated that I am only now hearing about a long time brand called Sleek Makeup. Whoever decided to hide them from me is going to pay! If you haven't discovered Sleek yet, you're missing out on a darn good time!
Not long ago, Target Australia came to carry theBalm cosmetics in store and the nation basically went wild, including myself... However in all the fuss, poor Sleek sat alone down the aisle. I was flipping through and looking for a new highlighter and an assistant turned me to the Solstice Highlighting Pallet ($18.71). I am all about that Pallet life. I'm not a responsible enough adult to own pans just yet. Four different shades (one creme) were a lot and the pan size, pigmentation and packaging was generous to say the least. I love products when the saying "a little goes a long way" really does apply!

Lets start with the highlighter, shall we? The eyeshadow pallet will follow us in the future! The Solstice Highlighting Pallet consist of three powder shades - One yellow, one lavender and one gold - as well as a creme shade in a rose gold shade (this one seems to be a multipurpose shade). Originally, I had thought that the price was a bit high, but I was only looking at the black cardboard box when I thought this. The packaging is a beautiful reflective gold. It is stunning to look at and it compliments the product shades so well. It's sturdy enough because I have dropped these a tonne and no breaks. The creme shade is awesome as an all over highlighter, eyes, brow bone, cheeks, cupids bow or anything really! I love using it as a base for my shadows. It brings out some serious pigment. I know that as far as highlighters go, these are really impressive. The powders aren't buttery and although that can be a deal breaker for some, I think it's awesome for portion control. Plus, these are very buildable shades anyway so there's no issue there. One other thing I want o mention is they don't give a sparkly finish. It's more a sheen or depending on how you place them, dewey.

TIP: I think using a soft bristled brush is way better than the brush in the pallet. It's okay quality, but I think using some good brushes gives much better results.

*Ecliptic is not as dark as it seems here. As the light shifts, it's a natural reflection. (Shades : Ecliptic TL, Hemisphere TR, Subsolar BL, Equinox BR.)
Overall, my thoughts regarding these highlighters are that you're paying for the beautiful packaging but regardless, the product itself is still enchantingly diverse and useable on every skin tone. I love these and they are very versatile and suitable for the soft and the extreme looks. I will be buying these again!
